Missing Water Source

Where there isn't water, things become complicated. All islands are by definition surrounded by water, but to make it drinkable - especially seawater - requires large efforts in energy, capital and work. Even such places might be inhabited, with measures taken to harvest rainwater (is there sufficient rainfall?), and conserve the water used.
